The properties of Versatic Acids originate from their highly branched alkyl structures. The improved performance is especially demonstrated in comparison with linear and less branched acids. Versatic Acids are used in a wide range of applications in their original form, as acid chlorides, as amine salts, or metal salt derivatives. Versatic acids and their salts have excellent solubility in nonpolar compounds such as organic polymers and plastics.
