Hexion products have played an integral role in coatings for decades. Our epoxy systems for coating applications can be formulated into primers, mid coats and topcoats for a variety of substrates, to perform under adverse conditions—while still delivering high performance. Our phenolic systems are ideal when superior adhesion and protection are required, especially in can and industrial coatings.

Our Versatic acid derivatives are used as modifying monomers in the preparation of vinyl acetate or acrylic-based polymer lattices which are used for the manufacture of high quality emulsion paints. They are also used as building blocks to enable the production of (ultra) high solids and waterborne low viscosity resins for automotive, industrial and construction applications.
